The strandbeest

This is a smaller scale model of Theo Jansen's Strandbeest. It was the final project for my Prototyping and Fabrication class. The movement of the legs depends on a bluetooth control panel that I coded on Arduino. the machine runs off of a LiPo battery, which rests on the chassis of the Strandbeest. The legs move fluidly with the design of the gears. I made this machine because I wanted to create something complex yet still simple in movement.
